Carlos Doti is a highly accomplished haematologist with a passion for improving the lives of cancer patients through innovative treatments. In his current role at AstraZeneca, he plays a pivotal role in developing the medical strategy for the haematology franchise, focusing on the global launches of Calquence (acalabrutinib) and expanding capabilities in acute myeloid leukaemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, and aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphomas.

With a strong background in medical affairs and over a decade of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Carlos brings extensive medical knowledge of cancer and haematologic malignancies to his work. His dedication to patients is evident in his commitment to delivering treatments that make a real impact across all aspects of cancer care.

Carlos's journey at AstraZeneca started in 2016, initially as a Medical Director and later as the Oncology Business Unit Director in Argentina and Uruguay. He then led AstraZeneca's haematology commercial team, overseeing acalabrutinib's expansion into multiple geographies in Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

Throughout his career, Carlos Doti has been actively involved in clinical research, serving as an investigator in more than 25 clinical trials in haemostasis, onco-haematology, and infectious disease. His work is further supported by numerous congress presentations and peer-reviewed publications, showcasing his expertise and contributions to the medical field.

Before transitioning to the private sector, Carlos completed his haematology training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York and the British Hospital in Buenos Aires, where he honed his skills as an attending physician. Today, he continues to drive impactful change in the pharmaceutical industry, leaving a lasting legacy in the fight against cancer.
