The Maine HR Convention will be returning to its ancestral home, the Samoset, this May. This conference will offer a variety of events and activities that cater to the HR community's interests, including keynote speeches from prominent figures across the country, business and human resources information, networking opportunities, and a sense of community. The main goal of the conference remains unchanged, which is to create a positive impact on employees' lives, organizational direction, career paths, and neighboring communities. Here are three important highlights for the 2023 conference: 1. Monday Afternoon: The conference will commence on May 8 with a pre-conference keynote and reception in the late afternoon. Those who have registered for the Tuesday conference day can attend these additional Monday events at no extra charge. Moreover, there will be extra programming for MESHRM Leadership Day and HR Basic Training. 2. HR Basic Training: Newcomers to the field of HR or those who are early in their careers can attend programming on Convention Monday and Tuesday that is tailored to their needs. They can also mix and match these programs with other offerings designed for more experienced professionals later in the week. Learn More. 3. Health & Safety Policies: Our top priority is your welfare, and we will adhere to all guidelines set by the State of Maine CDC, the Samoset (our host facility), and the attendees' needs. As of January 3, 2023, we anticipate no indoor mask requirement, although we encourage attendees to wear masks for their safety.
