Tony Parisi is a Metaverse pioneer, virtual reality expert, serial entrepreneur, investor, author, and musician focused on building the new Internet focused on the creator economy, aka the Metaverse.

Now independent, Tony was most recently Head of XR Ads and E-Commerce at Unity Technologies, where he oversaw strategy and product for the company’s real-time 3D brand advertising and commerce solutions. Prior to Unity Tony was an individual consultant developing technology and products for WebGL, VR and AR, and invested in and mentored VR and AR startups.

Tony is the co-creator of the VRML, X3D and glTF ISO standards for networked 3D graphics. Tony is the author of O’Reilly Media’s books on Virtual Reality and WebGL: Learning Virtual Reality (2015), Programming 3D Applications in HTML5 and WebGL (2014), and WebGL Up and Running (2012).
