Thomas Albini is a board-certified active clinician, surgeon, and researcher at the Department of Ophthalmology, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami. He also serve as co-director of Vitreoretinal surgery fellowship. Outside of clinical work, Thomas is a consultant to the pharmaceutical and medical device industry in the areas of medical retina, inflammatory eye diseases, uveitis, and vitreoretinal surgery. His a lecture on clinical and research topics at the University of Miami and throughout the world. He is a member of numerous professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Retina Society, The Macula Society, The Club Jules Gonin, The American Uveitis Society, and The International Uveitis Study Group. He is a founding member of the Vit-Buckle Society.
