I am a deeply experienced and passionate drug hunter/discoverer, dedicated to developing new medicines and improving outcomes for patients with cancer. As Vice President and Head of Oncology Small Molecule Drug Discovery at AstraZeneca, I am privileged to lead a team of equally committed scientists focused on de-novo target identification and validation and developing precision crafted small molecule drugs to advance into clinical development. Focus areas include drugging Tumor Drivers, Drug Resistance mechanisms, DNA damage response and Epigenetics. Since joining the company in 2013, I have helped to bring many new drugs into clinical trials and have to take a moment to reflect on the amazing capability improvements we continue to make - its never been a better, more productive and fun time to do what we do! At AstraZeneca Oncology, our ambition is to truly transform outcomes and provide cures for cancer in every form.
