Natalie Caula Hauff is Deputy Director of the Charleston County Public Library, overseeing Innovation services, partnerships, outreach, community engagement, programs and events, as well as communications and marketing. Hauff spent nearly a decade as a journalist in radio, TV and newspaper. She earned a Pulitzer Prize in 2015 for her work with a team of Post and Courier Newspaper reporters on domestic violence in South Carolina. She serves on the board of directors of her Sister’s House, a non-profit organization that supports victims of domestic violence. She also sits on the Public Library Association’s Advocacy & Strategic Partnerships Committee, serves as a mentor for Charleston County Government’s Emerging Leader Program, and is a member of the board of governors for the Harbour Club in Charleston. In 2023, she gave a Tedx talk on the evolution of public libraries and was named a Charleston 40 Under 40.
