Naniye Malli

Director, Immuno-Oncology, Antibody-Drug Conjugates

Naniye Malli is a cancer biologist by training and currently working as the Director of Immuno-Oncology Research and Immunosythen pipeline lead at Mersana Therapeutics, a biotech company specializing in the discovery and development of antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) therapies to treat cancer patients. Before joining Mersana Naniye worked as a research scientist at Agios Pharmaceuticals in the metabolic immuno-oncology/functional genomics group. Naniye completed her undergraduate studies in chemistry at Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey and moved to Vancouver, Canada to work as a research associate in a glycobiology lab at Simon Fraser University, where she later received her MSc degree in Bio-Inorganic Chemistry. She then joined Dr. Poul Sorensen’s Lab in the Molecular Oncology program at University of British Columbia and earned her PhD degree in Cancer Biology. After a short tenure in the same lab as a postdoctoral fellow, Naniye moved to US to continue her postdoctoral training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Koch Institute.
