With more than 30 years’ experience in marketing and communications with various state agencies, Lori Simms, Deputy Director with the Missouri Division of Tourism, has developed skills in strategy, promotion, writing, editing and other methods of communicating with various publics.Among her duties Lori supervises the marketing staff and agency-of-record, OBP, the agency that created and launched the “That’s My M-O” campaign and introduced Mo to the world. To date, Mo has generated more than one billion total impressions and won more than 30 awards. A Missouri native, Lori holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Journalism and a Master’s degree in Communications Management. She earned Destination International’s Certified Destination Management Executive credential in 2020. Lori believes that if you must work, you should have fun doing it; she is having a great time encouraging people to “Find their M-O” in Missouri.
