Karen is a versatile, dynamic senior cybersecurity leader who thrives on taking on big challenges, enabling business and delivering right-sized cybersecurity programs to perform as a business enabler, enhancing businesses goals. With a proven track record of managing cybersecurity risk, Karen connects all areas of the cybersecurity ecosystem breaking down silos and building bridges of collaboration across cybersecurity teams, business, IT and security.

Her technical capabilities, business acumen and drive to succeed deliver exceptional outcomes protecting organizations and their assets. A thought leader and speaker with excellent presentation and communication skills, she educates and advises c-suite executives and boards. She is a mentor and coach and serves as an Advisory Board member for the Fields Institute’s Palette Skills Cybersecurity Program.

Karen received multiple nominations for her innovations in cybersecurity risk management and is a champion of diversity and inclusion launching the first international Women in CyberSecurity Affiliate in Ontario in 2019. Her leadership as President of the WiCyS Ontario Affiliate resulted in winning the 2022 WiCyS Affiliate of the Year award.
