John Merhige

John Merhige is Chief Commercial Officer at Credence MedSystems, a medical company improving patient and caregiver safety while reducing hospital liability and risk.

Previously, John was Vice President, Market Development at Sanofi BioSurgery. He joined Sanofi upon its acquisition of Pluromed, Inc. in 2012. John was the third employee and member of the executive management team of Pluromed, an early stage Medical Device company advancing the use of rapid transition polymers for use in temporary vascular occlusion.

John's transition into the medical technology field began with Prelude Devices, a group he organized to identify and pursue early stage medical device opportunities. Prior to executing this career change, he gained considerable general management and commercial leadership experience at Fortune 500 companies. At Ford and Avery Dennison, John managed a $50 million business unit and served as National Sales Manager and Director of Business Development.
