For over 30 years, Joan has cultivated her skill as both a leader and an innovator, in roles spanning product design, global operations, supply chain, and executive leadership.

Joan represents the forefront of organizational efficiency, agility, and performance. Navigating the unprecedented scale and growth of data, she leads Seagate in pioneering risk management, inclusive of cyber insecurity and other emerging risks, so that Seagate's products and global enterprise are resilient in the face of technological change. While Seagate meets the demand flood of data from human and machine activity, Joan also ensures that the company balances business needs, operations, and leading-edge products with corporate social responsibility.

Having served offshore, Joan has a global perspective of culture and business. This perspective enables Joan to guide Seagate's commitment to being a responsible and active global citizen. With Seagate a founding member of the Responsible Business Alliance, Joan has also led the Board of Directors for the RBA in their strong pursuit of Human Rights and Environmental action in the electronics industry.
