During his PhD studies Frank spent 4 years at CERN's LEP (today LHC) accelerator in Geneva and focused on applications of AI to particle physics. Since then, he has always focused on big data AI applications in various industries including banking, insurance, telecommunications, e-commerce and healthcare. Most of his time he spent as an entrepreneur creating and running boutique consulting firms. His experience includes creating and managing efficient data science teams, professional services and software product development. He joined Roche in 2016, where he has been acting as Head of Diagnostics IT Data Science, a data science practice he started and established; he has recently (October 2022) become a Product Manager for AI and ML based internal consultancy services and product development, now with a focus including both Diagnostics and Pharma.
