Dr. Ellie Graeden is a dynamic, results-driven executive with more than 18 years of experience in data strategy and systems design. She is a globally-recognized expert in designing and building data systems to optimize policy and governance decisions and in communicating those decisions to the public and leadership. A innovative leader, Dr. Graeden uses data integration and visualization to drive strategy, solve big problems, and implement solutions that deliver outstanding, sustainable value. She quickly establishes credibility as a trusted advisor and spokesperson to private and governmental leadership while leading and developing global cross-functional teams of peers, subordinates, and stakeholders.

Dr. Graeden has built a unique approach to data analysis, visualization, and computational modeling that informs policy and high-consequence decision making. She has supported the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Disease at CDC in developing near real-time decision support during the COVID-19 outbreak. She, with her team, worked with FEMA and the Emergency Support Function Leadership Group to create emergency management models in support of the White House National Security Council. She has led teams funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to develop and deploy public health models for local use in the developing world, including building a data architecture and visualization platform to define the funding for Global Health Security. Dr. Graeden serves as an expert advisor and speaker who has presented on policy gaps for global biological outbreak response to the UN Biological Weapons Convention and on COVID-19 response at the WHO, CDC, and for state leadership.
