During my 23 year career as a corporate executive, I have had the pleasure to work and lead multicultural teams of dedicated finance leaders across North America, Latin America, Europe and MEIA. Together we have been more than a finance team, being recognized as a diverse set of experienced business partners and strategic advisors, representing multiple nationalities and acting as global citizens of the business world. While I have been charged with supporting and driving the financial performance of the companies I have worked for, my finance teams are always empowered to do something more – to be looked to as agents of change.
For more than two decades I have helped manage the financial performance of some of the biggest names in consumer-packaged goods, including Procter & Gamble, Danone (Dannon) and Essity (formerly SCA). I’m excited by the idea that the finance function I lead needs to be focused not exclusively on bottom line results, but also on our commitment to customer centricity. Together with my teams we guide revenue management, customer incentive programs and promotions, joint business plans, strategic planning and beyond. To succeed as business partners, we need to not only speak the language of finance, but also to speak our customers’ and consumers’ language as well.
