Dinesh Jayaraman is an Assistant Professor of Computer and Information Science at the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests lie in computer vision, machine learning, robotics, and computational neuroscience. Specifically, he focuses on developing algorithms for visual perception and learning that can enable machines to perceive, understand, and interact with their environment.Jayaraman's work includes developing methods for object recognition, semantic segmentation, and 3D reconstruction from images, as well as exploring how machines can learn from human demonstration and interact with humans in natural ways. He has also worked on robotic systems for tasks such as autonomous driving and manipulation, and has investigated how the brain processes visual information and how this can inspire new computer vision algorithms.
