Leading DOD's Microelectronics modernization for U.S. national security and economic competitiveness at OSD R&E; leveraging proven technology and management experience at NRL, DARPA, OSD/MIBP, DOE HQ, and USC's ISI.
I developed and managed large interdisciplinary programs consisting of teams composed of private industry, academia, and government labs. I repeatedly demonstrated the ability to conceptualize and define complex technical problems with operational relevance for the U.S. military, find viable, scientifically-sound pathways to address daunting technical metrics, and motivated large teams to consistently execute and deliver outcomes that often exceed the program’s expectations.
I enjoy working on broad, ecosystem-wide challenges and pursuing public-private partnership opportunities to bring together shared resources and skills sets to enable game-changing capabilities. For example, I proposed an initiative that resulted in a $600M+, public-private partnership, AIM Photonics.
I have learned through these activities that creating collaborations and teaming across diverse organizations requires the cooperation, coordination, and championship of leaders within the government and the private sector.
I enjoy working on leading-edge technologies and developing a vision for technology road mapping. I have experience with evaluating/assessing/analyzing next-generation technologies such as beyond-end-of-roadmap CMOS microelectronics and identifying opportunities for transformative capabilities for the government and society at large.
As co-author on DOE’s QTR (Quadrennial Technology Review), I contributed to DOE’s blueprint for myriad clean-energy technologies; this entailed coordination across several DOE national labs, industry experts, and internally at DOE HQ at the highest levels.
