Sacks is a member of the so-called PayPal Mafia, the group of men who were founders or early investors in PayPal who went on to found or develop other companies, many of which were in technology. Sacks began his business career at PayPal in 1999 and eventually became the company’s Chief Operating Operator (COO). He became extremely wealthy as a result of the company’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) and subsequent sale to eBay in 2002.
