I am the founder, President, and General Counselor for Kreative and Innovative Resources for Kids, (K.I.R.K.), Inc. In this capacity, I have given over 2,000 presentations and provided consultant services to businesses, corporations, Ministries, educational institutions, school districts, associations, and organizations seeking to improve productivity, initiative, human resources, and outcomes. I am also a practicing Attorney and member of the DC Bar. I have received over 300 plaques, awards, keys to the City, and commendations for services provided to satisfied clients on 4 continents. Author of 5 books, including the highly acclaimed best-seller, From Rage to Hope: Strategies for Reclaiming Black and Hispanic Students, I am now the author of my first novel, The Crystal Pumpkin. This book is an inspirational semi-autobiography that covers 18 years of my life. It will encourage and inspire service providers and those who desire to improve their lives and the lives of others, particularly youth. A moving account of historical events that happened in and around me, the book provides drama, suspense, mystery, and humor. It evokes unbridled laughter and a range of emotions. I am also the former Executive Director of the National Alliance of Black School Educators, and Director of Urban and Minority Relations for the National School Boards Association. I have served on Boards of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chesapeake, Health Power Inc, and currently serve as chair of the Board of Directors of the Family Life Center Foundation (FLCF). As an entrepreneur, I have written winning proposals for over $5 million in contracts. As Board Chair for the FLCF, I have written winning proposals for over $10 million in contracts and grants. Currently, I am Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant for one private school and Strategic Planning Consultant for 3 businesses/non-profits.
