I am an enthusiastic JavaScript developer in love with front-end, Node, React, Web Components, learning and teaching. I dabble a little in Deno for kicks. Aside from developing, I have a love of teaching, presenting, and mentoring which I have done both professionally and recreationally.I've spent time in several frameworks and libraries including React, Preact, Angular, Backbone, Riot, Ramda, Underscore and jQuery. I've become exceedingly adequate at each of these tools. I've also found that setting time aside to learn, and keeping up-to-date on JavaScript specifically, and software engineering generally, has enabled me to be more productive sooner. This is especially true as the pace of change in the front-end space is so rapid.I've been developing for more than 10 years now, mostly in the corporate/enterprise environment, but recently in the startup world. I've lead efforts in shaping front-end culture, fostering an environment of learning and growth, developing content strategy and encouraging rapid iterations. I aim to rapidly produce code that is maintainable, modular, performant and scalable.
