Clara N. Cedeño has 15+ years of experience in the IT industry. She has been with Amazon for 3 years, currently serving as the Global Community Impact Lead for the Amazon Web Services Partner Organization. The main focus of her role is to join forces with AWS’s Partner Network and regional community-based reskilling organizations (also known as APO Community Impact Partners) across the globe to close the AWS technology skills gap impacting our AWS Partners by: 1/developing current tech talent for AWS Cloud Acceleration, 2/building the next gen talent pipeline comprised of individuals in marginalized and underserved communities, and 3/increasing access to jobs and career advancement. Prior to this, Cedeño spent her first 2 years at AWS building and leading Global Business Operations teams; first for the Strategic Alliances Partner team and then the World-Wide System Integrators Partner team. Cedeño started her tech career in 2001 and has held roles across companies including EMC, VCE, and Dell EMC. Throughout her career, Cedeño has continuously invested in herself by pursuing her undergraduate degree in English at The University of Albany and her MBA at Syracuse University. She completed both programs at night or online while maintaining a full-time job to support her family.
