Financial Services Lawyer

I am a financial services regulatory lawyer at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG). I support clients in the financial services industry on a broad range of legislative and regulatory matters, with a focus in banking, fintech, payment processing, and advice that covers extensive knowledge in anti-money laundering/anti-terrorist financing, cost of borrowing and consumer protection.

I serve as advisor to the Board of the Open Banking Initiative Canada, the Canadian CIO Strategy Council’s Expert Drafting Technical Committee for Open Finance and Open Banking, and I am a director of the Toronto Concert Orchestra. I am returning as faculty for The Osgoode Certificate in Blockchain Law on central bank digital currencies in the fall of 2022, and have the privilege to speak regularly on related matters. At BLG, I serve as co-chair of the firm’s national race action committee and is an active mentor as part of various EDI initiatives.

Prior to joining BLG, I performed as a classical singer, appearing as Princess Mi in the Toronto Operetta Theatre’s production of Das Land des Lächelns, and as a soloist in houses including Carnegie Hall (New York), the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts (formerly known as the Hummingbird Centre) (Toronto), and the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall (Little Rock, Arkansas).
