Managing Director and Head of Relationship Management

Christina Townsend is a Managing Director and Head of Relationship Management of our Wealth Solutions segment at BNY Mellon | Pershing, which serves wealth-oriented broker-dealers, registered investment advisors (RIAs) and trust companies to provide custody and middle-office solutions. In this role, Christina leads a team of relationship managers nationally who strategically partner with our clients to help them grow and strengthen their business. Prior to her current role, she led the Platform Strategy and Consulting team where she and her team worked collaboratively across the firm develop, implement and support the strategy, solutions and platforms available to wealth managers, registered investment advisors, multi-family offices and trust companies. She had responsibility for the relationships and integration strategy with the technology partners who support those market segments. In addition, her team led thought leadership, benchmarking studies and a variety of business consulting programs to help clients with their growth strategy. Christina joined Pershing in 2000. She started her career in the corporate intern program and then spent a number of years supporting business process transformation. She held a variety of leadership roles within the Program Management Office responsible for delivering large-scale technology and new client conversion projects. After working on a number of Managed Account related initiatives, she assumed responsibility for the Managed Account Product & Transitions teams where she was focused on product strategy, roadmap and implementing solutions for clients.
