Carol is an award-winning former career federal prosecutor who represents public and private companies including start-ups and those that are on the Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 lists, corporate officers, entrepreneurs, and other individuals in all aspects of high-stakes white collar criminal and civil litigation. In addition, she responds to government inquiries and conducts internal investigations for her clients and counsels them on the development, implementation, and enhancement of compliance/remediation programs, including with respect to anti-money laundering, trade and export control, and health care laws and the False Claims Act and related qui tam provisions. She also represents clients on a wide range of complex commercial litigation issues, including business torts, fraud, and RICO. Her practice cuts across various sectors including Financial Services and Banking; Technology, New Media, and Telecommunications; and Health Care and Life Sciences. Carol has particular expertise on matters involving Fintech, blockchain, and cryptocurrency, and speaks at conferences and to the media on regulatory and litigation issues in these areas.

As the rare former federal prosecutor with over 15 years of experience as an Assistant United States Attorney in both the Criminal and Civil Divisions of the United States Attorney's Office in Los Angeles, Carol has extensive criminal and civil casework and first-chair trial experience.
