As a bilingual graduate nurse I have been able to communicate effectively in clinical settings with Spanish speaking patients. I graduated with the Bilingual Nurse Fellowship Program that allowed me the opportunity to take a Spanish medical terminology course. I was the treasurer in the Student Organization at Phoenix college and actively volunteered to make flyers for events, bake sells and working to make the school environment a better place. I have worked as a server in restaurants that have provided me with the skills to work under a fast pace environment while providing excellent customer service and multitasking. I have learned to prioritize and delegate through my experience as a server. I am apart of two committees in the National Association of Hispanic Nurses. I participate in the membership committee and the Community Outreach. I love to engage with people and make a difference in the community. I hope to obtain a position in the emergency department and put my skills to good use.
