Dr Allan Grill is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family & Community Medicine at the University of Toronto and is the Chief of Family Medicine at Markham Stouffville Hospital. He enjoys an active community-based clinical practice at the Markham Family Health Team, where he also serves as Lead Physician. Dr. Grill also participates in various other part-time primary care leadership roles. As a Physician Advisor for The College of Family Physicians of Canada, he has contributed to the implementation and dissemination of various knowledge translation initiatives. These include the Choosing Wisely Canada 'Using Antibiotics Wisely' campaign focusing on antimicrobial stewardship, and the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada 'Prescribing Safely Canada' project. As a member of the CADTH Canadian Drug Expert Committee (CDEC), Dr. Grill has experience in the critical appraisal of drug therapies as well as evaluating funding decisions for public formularies.
