The digitization of public infrastructure presents a momentous opportunity to create cost-effective services that address local and national challenges, while paving the way for future growth. To achieve this, we must construct a resilient and sustainable infrastructure that encompasses the entire city ecosystem, utilizing intelligent devices/sensors, IoT, hybrid cloud, data spaces, AI, and Simulation. By creating real-time digital twins, we can gain greater insight into our environment and make instantaneous decisions based on that information.

The market for Intelligent Infrastructure is valued at $434 billion and covers numerous sectors such as smart grids, smart water networks, intelligent transportation networks, and intelligent buildings. These shared environments will maximize asset utilization, cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and flexibility while supporting critical services such as broadband, energy, traffic management, and transportation.

To realize this vision, we must break free from our silos and collaborate with leading minds in technology, finance, public-private partnerships, and data collaboration. By joining forces in Austin, we can create a deployment plan that optimizes public infrastructure and secures a prosperous future.
